LeadWise Alliance Leadership Award Criteria
Award Title: LEADwise Excellence in Leadership Award
Purpose: To recognize and honor outstanding leaders who embody the principles and values of the LeadWise Alliance by demonstrating exceptional leadership, empowerment, and development in their respective organizations and communities.
Eligibility:
- Open to small and midsize business leaders who are current members of the LeadWise Alliance.
- Nominees should have been in a leadership role within their organization for at least two years.
Criteria:
- Leadership (L):
- Demonstrates exceptional leadership skills, including vision, integrity, and the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Has a track record of effective decision-making and problem-solving.
- Exhibits strong ethical standards and promotes a culture of accountability and transparency.
- Empowerment (E):
- Actively empowers team members by fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment.
- Provides opportunities for professional development and growth for employees.
- Encourages innovation and creativity, allowing team members to take ownership of their work.
- Advancement (A):
- Shows measurable growth and success in their organization, such as increased revenue, market expansion, or improved operational efficiency.
- Implements effective strategies and initiatives that have led to significant business advancements.
- Contributes to the broader business community through mentorship, knowledge sharing, or active participation in industry organizations.
- Development (D):
- Invests in personal and professional development, continuously seeking to improve their own skills and knowledge.
- Engages in continuous learning and development opportunities, setting an example for others.
- Facilitates the development of others through mentoring, coaching, and training programs.
- Community Impact:
- Makes a positive impact on the local community through corporate social responsibility initiatives, volunteer work, or partnerships with local organizations.
- Demonstrates a commitment to sustainability and ethical business practices.
- Supports diversity, equity, and inclusion both within the organization and in the broader community.
Nomination Process:
- Nominations can be submitted by employees, peers, or other business leaders.
- Each nomination must include a completed nomination form, a detailed description of how the nominee meets the award criteria, and at least two letters of recommendation.
- Supporting materials such as case studies, performance metrics, and examples of the nominee’s impact may also be submitted.
Selection Process:
- A selection committee comprising members of the LeadWise Alliance executive team and previous award recipients will review all nominations.
- The committee will evaluate nominees based on the award criteria and select the finalist.
- The award will be presented at the annual LeadWise Alliance Leadership Conference.
